received her B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Chemistry from Middle East Technical University, Turkey. She obtained her Ph.D. in Chemical Biology from State University of New York at Binghamton, USA in 2009. In 2010, she was honored with the prestigious ACS Zappert Award and several national travel awards. She started her postdoctoral research at Cornell University, NY and then continued her collaborative postdoc research at UNC-Chapel Hill and SUNY, USA (2009-2012). Her current research focused on developmentand applications of novel fluorescent chemical probes for site-specificimaging of small molecules inside living cells for dynamic visualization of biomolecules and bioorthogonal chemistry and molecular cancer research. She has authored and co-authored more than 30 articles in international journals and conferences, Dr. Dilek joined the School of Medicine faculty at Istanbul Kemerburgaz University in 2013.
